Amy Meisak, our gorgeous Miss Grand Scotland, spent an incredible three weeks in Vietnam with her sister queens for the Miss Grand International final!
Amy had the experience of a lifetime and made lots of amazing new friends from all over the world!
Here’s what Amy had to say about her experience:
‘Sometimes it’s still hard to believe that I won Miss Grand Scotland. I was so humbled when my name was announced as the winner I knew in that moment; my life was going to change. I knew that winning would open up so many opportunities but I don’t think I expected just how many doors it’s opened for me. I’ve had TV and modelling opportunities fall onto my lap off the back of it. I have to say, pageants are so great to build your confidence, give you a platform and a goal to work towards… and also great to learn how to talk on stage and battle the nerves at the same time but one of the best things that you ever gained from pageantry is the friends. If your thinking of entering – go for it! I promise you it’ll be the best experience of your life and you will make the greatest friends from all around the world. I was lucky enough to meet Miss Grand New Zealand and we instantly clicked, we were like magnets stuck together laughing and singing the whole trip… she even stayed over in my room on the last night! Completely inseparable. No matter how far away my pageant girls are I have their full support at all times and it means the world to me. Many girls I’ve met through pageants have become best friends of mine!
When I went on my trip to Vietnam to represent Scotland in Miss Grand International I had no idea just how amazing the experience would be. I have memories I will never forget, was given opportunities that I never would have had and I cherish all the souvenirs and gifts I was given on my trip. I have to say the rehearsal days were really long but the friends you make there will make sure you have an incredible experience no matter what you’re doing. I now have 77 excuses to travel the world and was lucky to have met so many empowering women. Miss Grand has helped shape who I am today. I may not have won the crown but I have definitely won friends for life.’
