Rebecca Everson was crowned Ms Galaxy UK, on Friday the 8th of March, at the grand final of the UK Galaxy Pageants! Rebecca has such an amazing year ahead of her as a Galaxy queen which will include jetting off to Orlando this summer with her sister queens for the experience of a lifetime at the international Galaxy Pageants! Get to know Rebecca a little better by reading her interview below!
What made you want to enter the UK Galaxy Pageants?
I’ve wanted to enter for some time. However, I wasn’t sure what was needed until I met the lovely Chloe Lake and Jasmine Nichol by chance at a Miss GB regional heat. They both told me how amazing Galaxy was and told me exactly what the process was to apply. The next day I had submitted my application!!
What did you do to prepare for the final?
For the UK final preparation was important. From hair and makeup, outfits, shoes, accessories, presentation folder, but it was also the most enjoyable. The lead up to the final is the most exciting part as all of the hard work is becoming real.
What is the best thing about being a Galaxy Girl?
Your Galaxy Family! That’s from the amazing director we have Holly, to her wonderful team behind her, to my amazing sister queens and of course the extended Galaxy family. The support is amazing!
Who is your role model and why?
I have to say in Galaxy my role model is Beth Greenham. She was the reason I wanted to be a galaxy girl. Her determination and dedication to the system and what she has achieved made me want to be part of it. She is such a beautiful girl inside and out and I am so glad to now have her as a sister queen! I couldn’t think of anyone better to crown me.
What part of the international Galaxy Pageants in Orlando are you most excited about?
Of course the trip to Orlando is very exciting, however I am excited to meet all of the other contestants from around the world, making new friends from a different countries and being on a stage with the most beautiful girls. It’s a fantasy fulfilled!

Favourite film/tv programme – My favourite film is Miss Congeniality and how weird I was also awarded Ms Congeniality 2019/2020.
Favourite food – Italian food is my fave! I can’t pick just one dish.

Favourite beauty/make-up product – Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for skin care. Chanel Soleil Tan Bronzer.
Dream holiday destination – Maldives or Bali
Do you have any exciting plans/appearances organised for your year as a Galaxy queen?
I sure do, my diary is jam packed! But you’ll have to keep a look out on my social media to see where and what I’m doing.
When you aren’t busy being a beauty queen, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
I am usually walking my pooch Nala or spending time with my family and friends. At the moment, we’re also looking for a new house so that is keeping us very busy!
What advice would you give to girls who are thinking about entering the UK Galaxy Pageants?
DO IT! I had no pageant experience, no pageant training and simply wanted to follow my dream by being on the stage in a beauty pageant. My dream came true and I was crowned a UK queen! I would also say be yourself, enjoy the moments and have fun. The Galaxy team are there for everything and are the best supportive team ever.
