Mrs Galaxy UK – Ruth Wade, had such an incredible time at Galaxy Internationals in Orlando where she placed 2nd runner up! Here’s what Ruth had to say about her Galaxy Experience!
What’s your highlight from Galaxy internationals?
I think it is impossible to pick just one highlight but I think getting to know all of team UK stands out to me. We had so much fun as a group at every event and it was amazing to get to know all of the girls so much better and have this amazing experience with them all.
What was your favourite outfit from your Galaxy wardrobe?
My favourite outfit across the whole week was probably the swimsuit that I wore for the poolside glam photo shoot. It was the type of swimsuit that I would never usually wear but I felt so confident in it and the shoot was so much fun, it really exceeded my expectations!
Name something you packed in your pageant suitcase that you couldn’t have lived without (apart from outfits!)
My emergency pageant kit is something that I was never without across the whole week. I always pack one of these every time I compete as you never know what you might unexpectedly need! Some of the items which I include are safety pins, superglue, a mini sewing kit, travel sized hairspray and of course a little first aid kit.
What was the funniest or most memorable moment of the week?
It has to be Emma (Miss Galaxy Wales) trying to do her spray tan at 1am after the white party, ready for prelims the next day with hilarious consequences. Luckily she managed to somehow fix it and it looked beautiful on stage but the mid tan updates had me in stitches!
What advice would you give to girls who are thinking about entering the UK Galaxy Pageants?
You honestly will not regret your decision to take part, Galaxy is an incredible experience, even more so than I was expecting. I would not hesitate to recommend the system to absolutely anyone, it is so well run and such a fun pageant to be a part of, I would go back in a heartbeat if I could.
