Miss Teen Galaxy Wales, Mia-Rose Lewis, would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
‘Oh I wish it could be Christmas everydayyyyyy….’ – I hope most of you sang that in your head whilst reading it.
So just like that we are counting down the days to Christmas and I’m left with only a few months of my reign – sad times.
Christmas is without a doubt my FAVOURITE time of the year, there are so many festive ways that you can give back. This year I feel so privileged to be using my title to sprinkle Galaxy dust and spread Christmas spirit wherever I go on my 24 day countdown to Christmas.
With that being said, I would just like to express how grateful I am to have lived the last 10 months as your Miss Teen Galaxy Wales!! I feel like that’s something that will always be so surreal to say. I still can’t believe my dream of becoming a Galaxy queen and representing my country on an international stage became true.
Summing up my time as Miss Teen Galaxy Wales so far would be impossible to do in such few words, from my crowning moment to appearances, the airport at 7am in Tippytops with my queens having a million strange looks, to my fashion-wear breaking during prelims in the international Galaxy stage (which I bet a lot of you didn’t even realise), hours of laughter and giggles with my sister queens, to the unforgettable opportunities I have been given, are all memories I would never have been able to be part of without the Galaxy system. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have be afforded, my eyes have certainly been open to so many experiences I will forever cherish!
I promise this short (definitely not short) message is coming to an end!
I can honestly say that the Galaxy system has shaped me into the confident and ambitious young woman I have become, both from being a finalist and now a queen.
So for those of you who have yet to have their ‘crowning moment’, please know that I had been competing in pageants over 4 years not having won before my dream title became a reality. My journey to winning my title was not something that happened over night, in fact it consisted of hard work, determination and dedication to making my dream become the reality that it is, please don’t give up, embrace and enjoy every moment.
For those of you who are hesitant on entering a pageant, don’t be, I promise once you have competed you will never look back. You still have time to enter, so press that apply button and I’ll see you in March.
It’s time to wrap this Christmas message up by wishing you all wonderful ladies out there a very merry Christmas and certainly a happy new year, make 2019 a time to remember- it’s your year to sparkle, who knows it might even be your year to be a Galaxy Queen.
Lots of love from Mia-Rose, Miss Teen Galaxy Wales xox
