Emma Collingridge, Miss Galaxy – UK, took part in a very important campaign to raise awareness of brest cancer and testicular cancer.

‘Today I volunteered at the university-wide, 12 hour Lumps and Bumps campaign which aims to equip students, staff and members of the local community with the knowledge and confidence required to check themselves for signs of breast cancer and testicular cancer.

For this campaign, Loughborough University partnered with CoppaFeel! and Ballboys to offer presentation-led informative sessions with an opportunity to then practise the skills learnt on specialist training mannequins, with the aim to educate attendees about the various warning signs of these cancers.

I attended a session myself before heading out onto campus to encourage people to come to the training sessions and learn these potentially life saving skills.

For me, the session reinforced just how important it is to check yourself. Please follow the website links below where you can find advice and information so you too could raise your awareness of the signs and symptoms:

What a fab appearance for such an important cause, well done Emma!
