What made you want to enter the UK Galaxy Pageants?

The UK Galaxy Pageants are like no other. The system whole heartedly celebrates women of all ethnicities, size, age and culture. It provides women with a platform to motivate and inspire others to make a difference – I just had to enter such a special system!

What did you do to prepare for the final?

During the lead up to the final, I tried to make the most of my time as a finalist.  I worked in conjunction with local organisations, authorities and projects to make a difference in my area. I raised over £580 for The Christie charity and even got to face my fears in the process – by completing Europe’s longest zip wire!

What is the best thing about being a Galaxy Girl?

I would have to say the best things about being a Galaxy Girl, are the opportunities and sisterhood it provides you. I’m fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to represent Wales internationally in Orlando, Florida, alongside 9 other inspirational friends.

Who is your inspiration?

My inspiration would have to be my Grandmother, Pam. My Grandmother, always pushes me to be the best version of myself and she always instils confidence in me that I can achieve my dreams. I hope to one day follow in her entrepreneurial footsteps.

What part of the international Galaxy Pageants in Orlando are you most excited about?

I think I’m most looking forward to orientation, where I will have the chance to meet and get to know all of the other international finalists.

Tell us your favourite:

Film/tv programme – It has to be Friends – the episodes never get old and I can totally relate to Monica. I basically am Monica when it comes to work and cleaning, haha!

Food – I just love food, especially pizza.
Song –  My music taste is really diverse, my playlists vary from genre to genre. However, I do constantly play Imagine Dragons as motivation whilst I’m in the gym.

Beauty/make-up product – I do love the Estee Lauder skincare collection.

Do you have any exciting plans/appearances organised for your year as a Galaxy queen?

I am so excited for my year ahead. I have some very special appearances coming up, so please follow my journey on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Miss-Galaxy-Wales-2018

When you aren’t busy being a beauty queen, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

In my spare time, I compete and show horses nationally with my Mum, Sam. We’ve been fortunate enough to win at both Horse of The Year Show and The Royal International Horse Show.

What advice would you give to girls who are thinking about entering the UK Galaxy Pageants?

I would simply say to go for it.  Ensure that you seize every opportunity given to you and of course be yourself. There is so much more to take from this system then just a crown. You will have the chance to make a difference, so be the difference you want to see in this world.
